The concert is on the 3rd of May at Corporation Statium, Calicut. 800 people will be granted the opportunity to join around 200 film stars from bollywood and tollywood (what is that BTW ?) who have been personally invited by AR Rahman. The lowest rate for Grand-Stand is being decided as Rs.500 The tickets will be distributed through a Local Bank as well as on the Internet. The tickets will aslo be available in some of the popular business / commercial institutions in and around Calicut, Malappuram, Kannur and Eranakulam. The ticket sales will start after the official inauguration / statement by Rahman himself at Cochin on 28th March. This will be the first of rahman's new world concert tour - Jai Ho India. Music lovers from around the nation are expected to be witnessing the event. A welcoming committee (don't know if it is correct) is formed with various VIPs from Calicut. Around 50,000 people can be accomodated in the Corporation Stadium. To confirm this, few people from Global Kerala Initiation visited the place. They also surveyed the hotels where Rahman and his musicialns will be staying. The event will be managed by Rahman's Event Management Company, Raport Global. This event aims to raise the fund for the treatment of the children affected by AIDS. However Kerala Aids Control Society officers said they do not have any affiliation with it.
