Folks,

For those of who don;t know this There is a problem in the music reproduction
industry where companies either compel the mastering folks or do it in-house .
They take the dynamic compression to its heights. This jumbles layers and clogs
the space with too much in too little. The crispness goes away and but volume
is high and the thump is well..super. Very club ready. Thats why i think
Pritam's music is so bass heavy and freakishly loud.

This is called Loudness war and music composers are not to be blammed. This
explains why we see a remarkable difference in tracks from Sony/Universals and
T-series/Big Music etc. I bought a ( may be the 10th copy) of Dil Se along with
Blue. Dil Se for the same volume sounds stunningly clear.. Blue sounds jammed (
sorry folks ). The songs are great no doubt but all this discussion might just
have a valid point.

I really think T-series should treat Rahman's master tracks differently, not
just in final packaging but also reproduction. They should not treat it like
any other bollywood music. Rahman's are by far quite complex!
