I've kinda always wondered if Rahman was to score for a Yash Raj (directed by) movie what the music would be like.. and I don't know if I am right about this, but Yaar Mila Tha sounds to me something that would be right out of Yash Raj stable.. maybe it is just Udit Narayan or the sugary sound of Madhushree, but it strikes to me as very Yash Raj'ish in texture.. In any case, I love it, it's very melodious n' playfully rendered..
This and Genda Phoot from Delhi 6 both stand out for me as some kinda n minimalistic/melodic/traditionalist experiments from Rahman.. n' I want more of it :)
