Respect your views, but remember, AR is an artist foremost and entertainer
second. What you consider wasteful like Yuvvraaj, AR considers as an
opportunity to expand and express his creative potential. Lots and lots of
people loved recent ARR albums and they did sell on the strengths of his
music....again, it's all subjective.
If you feel that the essence of AR is more present in those albums that you
pointed out, I respect your opinion about it. We all have different tastes and
preferences and ARR is all about diversity in artistic expression and creation.
He cannot and will not satisfy everyone in one go. It's up to us to have
faith, patience, and appreciate his quality of work even beyond our own
preferences, because that is what AR is trying to do....broaden our musical
horizons and expand our musical tastes. For AR, sales are important, but I
think for him, artistic satisfaction and creativity are even more important.
Every album is a stepping stone, a new opportunity to something further in his
career, something that will allow to travel as a creative artist in various
directions. Not all stones will have commercial punch on their own, but they
are valuable in the larger journey of AR's music.
