Yogesh hits the nail on the head. Delhi 6 can be however beautiful, the movie
did not do well and with that, so did the music so that chances of awards for
it this year might be slim. Have you all not wondered why Yuvraaj was not even
nominated last year for a music award even though it was so magical? The film
was a flop and thus its music did no live on. Also what is happening with Ada?
Why did Drona win best newcomer for music over Amit Trivedi's Aamir? The point
is that when music is not popular as well, its
chances of recognition will go down.

That said, just want to say that post Slumdog Millionaire, the outside world is
looking at the talent of Indian. It is thus nice to see that other music
directors are attempting do good work and aim for standards set by Rahman
himself.

TUM MILE is really excellent stuff, and instead of hating and quarrelling over
it, think people should try to appreciate it for what it is. Hard work must be
rewarded regardless of who it is (hoping pritam did hard work for this) and I
have no problems if Pritam or Sohail Sen or Amit Trivedi or someone else who is
also derserving wins it...as long as they are deserving.

Music should not be a divider, it should unite everyone.

Agreed Yogesh, D6 is tops for me. I hope it wins. But if it doesn't, it's not
the end of the world, even though I would be greatly disappointed. I feel ARR
is beyond awards, however, and these types of awards are also based on movie
popularity, not just how good the music is. If another deserving composer won,
I would be happy for them, but feel bad ARR missed out. That's all my post was
about!!!!!
