Well, it is a chick-flick. most of the romantic comedies don't get great reviews but it still does good business in the box office because as much as the guys hate chick-flicks, girls love them.
the bad review for the music is generally because of the movie itself. if the entire movie doesn't work for a critic, the score, however good it is will not be noticed at all.
