DVD5 = 4.7GB
DVD9 = 7.76GB

Bluray5 = 25GB
Blueray9 = 50GB

There can be differences in size between movies ...Like Jodha Akbar's
blue-ray was in 43GB ..where Slumdog was in 50GB

Heard panasonic made a BluerayDisk...which can hold 500GB :o

In a DVD Videos stored in VOB format , Audio in AC3 5:1 File , Video in
MPEG-2 format
In a Blueray .. Videos r in .m2ts Format .. where audios and videos can have
several formats .. Like videos can have H.264 , SMPTE VC-1 or  MPEG-2 part2
or every one of them
For audio there can be Dolby Digital (AC-3), DTS, and linear PCM. Dolby
Digital Plus and DTS-HD , lossless formats , Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master
Audio.

In a Blue-ray Disk ...It's all About the Amazing Resulation up to 1920×1080
pixel at up to 60 frames per second interlaced or 24 frames per
second progressive
Where in a DVD This resulation is 720 x 480

But if u just want the soundtrack .... Audio CD is the best .. as u will get
it in a losseless format .. This will b the same @ Blueray disk as well (
as 1.4mbps is the highest bitrate for audio files )
But there can be sound effects and other stuffs on bluerays which might
enhance the beauty of the song

DVD has 4.5/9 GB space, blu-ray has 10-20 times more space, I have
heard. What is the fun in having so much space wasted for audio files
that get accommodated in a 700 MB normal CD?

Are audio files given in dvd/ blu-ray disks of different sizes and
different quality that audio cd files? Could anyone please tell
something about it?

Thanks.
