I do agree that the RAP words pronounced in the Tamil anthem song was quite confusing and misleading.
For a long time I was trying to decipher who were the poets being refered in the RAP portion. The first poet's name was very clear (Shri Kambar: his tamil version of ramayan has mind blowing clarity and considered a masterpiece). The second poet's name was pronounced something like Vai Nallaalum. I promise I do not know any one with the name Vai Nallaal. Only after seeing the lyrics released somewhere in the web, I came to know that the second person was "AvVai Nallal" (AvVai was among one of the first women tamil poet). Anyway, the RAP portion's music, tune and lyrics was mind-blowing, but it was sad to find that the pronunciation in the RAP portion was misleading.
