With all due respect to Amit I must say he is no way the next ARR in the
making... he is good no doubt.... but there is something strange in Rahman
which made him so different than other MDs..

Rahman has got his uniuqueness to almost all his compositions.... which is
like his signature...whenever whereever one hears a Rahman tune he can
identify or guess in case the song is unknown to him/her.

I remember the time Bombay soundtract released, we didn't have cable TV...
our neighber used to hear the songs loudly... and somehow I started praying
these songs should have been created by Rahman (the composer of Roja)...
that was wild guess... however I was so biased and selfish that time...
unless I discovered that is actually by Rahman I prayed no MDs else should
take credit of them... finally I was overjoyed knowing they were by
Rahman...

Similar thing happened during Pukar... in the promos only the hummings of
"Sunta hay" was coming... and most of us who didn't know that time it was by
Rahman guessed that is Rahman's tune...

I have personally such thousand of examples when I started listening to
Tamil songs... only a very few time my guess was failure and the credit of
the songs went to Illiyaraja... I was happy and sad at the same moment...

So now a days...not only Amit... any other MDs song doesn't tell it's by
which composer (in Indian music)...

Again... I'm telling Amit is good but not comparable to Rahman...
