Just got a listen to the whole album. Mixed feelings.....love some things....didn't like other things. 3-4 songs are outstanding.....rest seem kind of filler, though bright in spots. Inconsistent, hodge podgy and too noisy in places, though bold and fit for a Rajini movie. Very massy and entertaining with a lot of classy elements too. Didn't like the retro 80s electronica sounds......waaaaay too cheesy...Rahman could have used more progressive, contemporary electro sounds and sound effects (except for the first song which did sound very contemporary and progressive!) Oh, and I also could not catch onto melodies, though they are there....hard to remember and hum melodies, unlike what we heard in Sivaji along the lines of Sahara.
Will write a more detailed review once I listen to the songs at least several more times, absorb them better after several days.
