That's certainly an alternative - if it's really bugging people they can
always set that option in their preferences (confirm after creating a
new request).
 
I guess the issue is really that the Windows client displays the Id
indefinitely (as long as you don't do anything else) while the Mid Tier
gives you only seconds. If people were used to having to quickly jot
down the reference it probably wouldn't be an issue - but the WUT has
set an expectation that the MT doesn't meet.
 
Obviously, this isn't a showstopper (there are multiple workarounds) but
it's something I said I'd look into.

        Try using an Active Link that fires After Submit that shows a
message of: "Ticket $LASTID$ submitted successfully." Or something to
