Hi, We are experiencing an almost viral issue with MidTier. We have 4 instances of Remedy and MidTier, utilising 4 Oracle instances on the one database and a bespoke application on a single Linux server. The application consists of two sub-applications, Approvals (which isn't Approvals as such, just how it's named) and Resources and access to either sub-application is controlled from the Home Page.
What's happening is this - the user connects to the application and selects Approvals - they can run around for hours, clicking buttons an URL's helter-skelter with no problems. If, however, they want to use Resources, this is where the problem occurs. They are taken to a console-style form (so far so good), they perform an action (search, still good, results are returned) but as soon as they click on a button to modify/view the record, they get a message (below) and they can't do anything else: Session is invalid or has timed out. Please reload page to log in again. (ARERR 9201). The problem first occured on the development environment about 6 months ago (which didn't worry me too much as I didn't use MT in dev) and NOTHING on MidTier worked. Last week (with no changes being made that I am aware of), the Approvals side started functioning but Resources wasn't working. This morning, while trying to generate the error to get the text of the message correct, both Approvals and Resources are working fine ... The test system (which is another instance on the same server), is now having problems - it's almost as if whatever the issue is, it is jumping instances... It doesn't matter what we do after that, that session is destroyed. Configuration Information: Linux 2.4.21-47.ELsmp ARS 6.03 patch 17 Oracle 9.2.0.7.0 MidTier 6.03 patch 16 IE 6.0.2800 Any suggestions would be greatfully accepted.
