                    The most common approach that i have seen in most organisations is to either integrate the Remedy database with the LDAP server by creating a Vendor form and an overnight push of data to the People form, At my current organisation we have a database integration with Peoplesoft so every time a user created the user data is pushed to the People form. With this approach we accommodate the OS integration which then leaves us with very less maintenance work, at least in the User creation process...

Prior to authenticating via AD, I had site managers enter in the new Person information from the profile button on a help desk ticket.  This doesn't propagate the User table.  The way I see it, I am going to have to either:

 - create an active link to push fields to create a User once the site managers creates a Person record

OR

 - Give the site managers admin rights to enter the People Information from the Configuration Manager tool

OR

 - use the Area Ldap method.

 

I just would like to understand what was the method you used... your reasoning....and your hind-site thoughts?
