This is a different approach, but have you tried using My IT? It has an Outlook integration out of the box. It's worked great for me both with on premise Exchange and with Office365.

Is that necessary or should it also work if I connect as myself (i.e. a normal outlook exchange user). Any pointers? I feel like this should be a straightforward operation but maybe it isn't...
