In terms of a 7.0.00 Mid-Tier, the recommendation from BMC is to move the Mid-Tier to AR System 7.0.01 and apply patch 001 because there is no patch for AR System 7.0.00. Were you to stay on Mid-Tier 7.0.00 Patch 002, you would encounter the issues listed in the Technical Bulletin that affect the Mid-Tier. In a mixed environment, the recommendation would be to patch both the Mid-Tier and Server with the appropriate files from patches. In other words, if you are running a Mid-Tier of 7.0.01 and an AR System Server of 6.03, load AR System 7.0.01 Patch 001 on the server and AR System 6.03 Patch 020 on the Mid-Tier (just like you'd do for any other patch). -David J.
