Thanks John!

Where can I find more info about OPERATION options?
Some of the info about this stuff is hard to find.

I was going the long way about this and John made it look simple.

Thanks again,

Dan Caissie

Run if:
$ OPERATION$ = "SET" AND (NOT ($ GROUPS$ LIKE "%Help Desk%" OR $ GROUPS$
LIKE "%managers%"))

Substituting your own group names, of course. Or use the $ GROUPID$
keyword instead.
Change field action, make the field read-only.

HTH,
John

Ok I thought I had this done today but. I am burnt out today.

What I am trying to do is make a field read only for everyone except the
Help Desk and managers during modify.

So this will keep the fields read/write during submit and search.

Would it make more sense to just have an error message show when someone
not in these groups trying to make a change?

The reason I have to do this is we have had some people changing the
request to them self's when they think they will get a bad survey.

Thanks

Dan Caissie
