I am actually glad the see this discussion. I had never heard of nabble and think that it could be very useful for me as logging into my corporate network can be pain with all the security you have to go through i.e... smart card, pin numbers + passwords. . I guess I am not seeing the issue here. There are OT posts on here all the time. If the ARSList admin is OK with it, I think its great and I am glad they posted as I am now aware of the option.

This list is more to discuss the AR System and its products and not really all search engines and other sites that might have capability to search the forum archives.. These 'vendors' do not directly impact us and offer no benefits to 95% of us as we either already know about them and use them or choose not use them. They should choose some other way to advertise their presence to some of us who don't know about them if they need to.. Besides its inappropriate for them to build capabilities to create a new post from within their interface, without the consent of its owner. If whoever at nabble is listening to this please spare us your SPAMS... Like I said, if people want to use Nabble, or Google, or Yahoo, or whatever for their Remedy search and/or forum needs, it's none of my business, and I hope it works for you. I have nothing against the poster, I just thought that the post was very spam-like. Perhaps I was a bit over-sensitive in my reaction, and under-sensitive in my response. It is a great way for me to check on the list while I'm at home and don't have access to my work email. Nabble is just an interface for the ARSlist, as your posts on nabble are forwarded to the list. You can visit the Nabble site set up fro ARSlist at http://www.nabble.com/ARS-(Action-Request-System)-f716.html. ________________________________ From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto: [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rick Cook Sent: Thursday, July 19, 2007 10:30 AM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Re: congratulations ** He wasn't talking about using Nabble as an interface - he said forum. If some people would prefer to have their own forum, using whatever mechanism, I hope it works out well for them. But I haven't heard a great hue and cry for a new forum, so I guess I saw this as the answer to a question that no one asked. A blind, unsolicited advertisement to a product or service of unknown voracity or quality - sounds like a good definition of spam to me. Nabble just provides another interface.
