Hi Axton, /etc/rpc has a modified date of Jan 30, which means it not only didn't get updated this time, it didn't get update at any of the previous installations.
The file has lots of numbers that I don't understand, and ends with about 70 lines like: arserverd 390692 arserverd arserverd 390693 arserverd arserverd 390694 arserverd arserverd 390695 arserverd Another installation attempt did not add any new lines. Should it have?
