Patch 4 of 7.0.1 increases that field size to 2000 chars.  You may
choose that as one option, especially since it also fixes a few other
problems that were introduced in...patch 3.

Evidently, the Group List field on the user form is set to have 255
characters.  That's fine, except that when you get someone who belong to
a large number of groups, 255 characters doesn't cover it.  The only way
I know of to fix it is to increase the size of the Group List field on
the User form.  Like to know if this issue has come up with other
implementations, and what would the official recommendation(s) be to
counteract this apparent limitation.  Thanks
