coincidently, so is ours.  We are using this as a dynamic required field
engine.  We create records in a form related to 'events' and if this event
is occurring we verify that all of the fields listed in the table for that
event are filled in...so we copy the value of the field who's ID is
specified into a temp field and then determine if that field is null or
not....so here is our run process

$PROCESS$ Application-Copy-Field-Value 900200100 $Required Field ID$

the only caveat that I can make is that I couldn't get my $field$ to be a
column in a table...I had to copy the value out of the column into an actual
field and then use it...don't know if that's your problem...
