We are setting up a new ITSM 7.0.3 environment with separate servers for each tier as follows: Database Server AIX Oracle 10G Application Server Windows 2003 ARS 7.1 patch 2 CMDB 2.1 patch 2 ITSM 7.0.3 Web Server Windows 2003 Tomcat Mid Tier 7.1 patch 2 The CI Relationship Viewer is installed automatically with CMDB 2.1, it is no longer a separate installation. The install guide is not clear on how this works. We queried the CMDB 2.1 install with BMC support and they told us that Mid Tier must be installed on the same server as the CMDB. This doesn't sound right, if we follow the BMC support persons advice we will have to install Mid Tier on both the Application and Web server. If anyone has completed a similar install, please confirm the correct configuration.
