I am not sure why it may not be working but if it is something that is no longer available in 7.1 you might want to try performing the same process using Remedy Migrator. You should be able to schedule Remedy Migrator to migrate objects from the server to a .Migrator def file and set it to automatically run at a certain date/Time. I havent played with this feature of Migrator that much but it may be something that you can setup as an alternative.
