REMEDY ADMINISTRATOR 

Location: Ft Meade (Annapolis Junction, MD) 
Duration: 4 months CTH 

Job Description: 

The REMEDY Administrator will provide administration functions required
to maintain and improve a BMC REMEDY environment. The resource will be
responsible for implementing and maintaining the install of REMEDY 7.0
and higher. This resource will develop and execute recurring and ad-hoc
reports using Crystal Reports/Business Objects to provide vital data to
the business. This resource will also be responsible for system support
documentation and user training. 

Role/Responsibilities: 

* Administrative responsibility for the effective system administration
and operations of the REMEDY ITSM environment. This includes working
with the appropriate resources to design, develop, test, install,
upgrade, implement and support the ITSM suite 
* Manage REMEDY User, Administrator, and Group accounts, access, and
passwords 
* Provide support for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem
Management, Service Level Management, CMDB and Asset Management as they
interface with other IT processes 
* Act as subject matter expert for REMEDY functionality and data
integration activities 
* Identify and resolve technical issues/problems with REMEDY, its
various interfaces and supporting tools 
* Gather system and ad hoc reporting requirements and produce resultant
reports 
* Test and validate change results for REMEDY modules 
* Support integration efforts for REMEDY systems requirements with
business and other systems process improvements 
* Help to instruct Users and Administrators on REMEDY product usage and
administration 
* Create and maintain system support documentation, including network
diagrams 
* Configure REMEDY forms to meet the requirements/preferences of IT&S 
* Perform import operations into REMEDY's Asset Management and CMDB 

Essential Skills Required: 

* Ability to perform day-to-day operational support functions within
REMEDY, including client, server and application administration 
* Experience creating technical specifications based on application
end-user feedback and analysis of business workflow with the goal of
optimizing and automating processes 
* Experience defining application requirements, testing and
documentation 
* Strong understanding of ticketing process flows, business processes
and data integration 
* Experience training and supporting end users

* Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written 
* Advanced interpersonal skills, and a high degree of initiative in
interacting with user. 
* Ability to work with customers, technical, and management staff as
well as other company staff

* Must be dependable and flexible, able to work independently or as part
of a team 
* Excellent follow-through on task assignments 
* Good project management skills
