A few more questions: 1. What patch level(s) are you on? 2. Is this on a Dev/Test environment, or a production server? 3. Does this error occur for all of your configured users? 4. Is the error produced every time? Or, just under certain conditions? 5. Do you have adequate licensing on the server? This error can also occur if the user has a floating license, and there are none available at the time of the update (in which case, the user would only have "Read" access. Also, I've seen this happen when temp licenses have been installed, and have expired.
