Your logic should work. As long as the "New" record knows the ID of the
"Source" record you should be able to do a standard Set Fields reading
data from the "Source" record to copy the attachments over to the "New"
record.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your reply. My question now is, how can I set the
attachments of the "source" record? I have tried the following logic
but did not work: I created a temporary field that stores the record ID
of the current record so that when user uses the Copy to New
functionality, an active link queries for the attachments of the record
and these values are set to the attachment fields of the "new" record.

I am thinking maybe I need to temporarily "save to disk" the files and
then attach them on "copy to new", but how can I automate this process?

Thanks.

Trap the Copy To New with an Active Link and set what you like.
