Thank you Conny and Rakshit. Makes sense and works sweat now. Issue here was/is that we have a procy pac which is like 10 pages long, and the proxy I used before seemed to actually have not been the right one (although it worked, when directly entering this one at the browser config).
With that hint I now looked into the procx pac again and spotted another proxy and this one works. Thanks again!
