We have some set to 600 minutes for users that need to be in all day (the
system default is still 30) on 7.0.1 and do not have that issue. Our Mid Tier
is still 7.0 as well, and we are on Tomcat, otherwise our systems are similar
to yours.

In any case, 180 minutes should not be too long.

Subject: Session Timeout Setting

** Hi,

We're encountering some issues when users leave their browser sessions open a
while ( meeting, out for lunch..) then come back.
The mid-tier is either not responding or take quite long to complete. They do
not get the timeout or session error since the Session Timeout on the mid-tier
is 180 minutes, and they did not exceed that threshold yet.

Is180 minutes too long?

Thanks
Andrew
