Hey Seth.... You bet there are some problems with the Patch 1 installer - as well as the 7.50 installer on windows.
We have had to use a number of un-installer and registry cleaner applications to get the install right. Check your Add/Remove programs to see what's there. We have seen problems when installing and trying to install subsequent components - especially with patch1.
