Hello All,
I just got off the phone with BMC regarding Change Request Creation from
maintenance schedules attached to CI's. A Change Request is not generated
when the due date on the maintenance schedule comes due. According to BMC,
"This is a known defect and will be repaired in the next major ITSM
release". I almost fell off my stool - I am in disbelief that this component
of the BMC ITIL package doesn't work. So... after all of this CMDB work,
even if you have all of your CI Data and maintenance schedules populated,
you can't get a Change automatically generated for the maintenance.
I am beyond appalled.
Has anyone else successfully gotten this to work? Written a customization,
etc? Has anyone at least gotten an email notification when the maintenance
schedule CI comes due?
