I'm actually not the TD expert here, other than where it integrates with
the CMDB. My TD counterpart does say that SNMP V3 and V1 are supported,
but not V2. Sorry, I can't point you to the supporting documentation for
that. Hope that helps some.

Thad -- have you tested this out yet?
I do not see SNMP V3 support yet, do you?

   Pat,

I was of the same understanding as you, until just now.  After
   re-reading
the FD patch 2 document, I don't think its referring to the CMDB.

"By deploying patch 1.6.00.02, you are not able to upgrade to BMC
Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (BMC Atrium Discovery)
   7.5.00
or 7.5.01. Future releases of BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency
Mapping may support an upgrade from patch 1.6.00.02."

Initially, like you, I understood that to say that we couldn't upgrade
   the
CMDB until 7.5 p2 came out.  But what it actually says, is that you
   can't
upgrade from 1.6 patch 2 to the 7.5 version of the discovery tools
   (Atrium
Discovery & Dependency Mapping - ADDM) until patch 2 for that comes out.
It doesn't put any limitations on the CMDB version.

I think having the name "Atrium" in there is what tripped us up.

Have a question: About support going back 2 versions right...
   7.5.2 <- minor
   7.5.1 <-- minor
   7.5 <--- Major
7.1 <-- Major     We are still here right? Put the X here.

Why is it then that the FD 1.6.002 Patch that just came out only works
   with
   7.5 !
because they are no longer patching FD in version 7.1 !

What is the deal here !
