It sounds as though your AR server is not using Unicode. There's a limitation
on the type of fields you can add to view forms - you have to be using a
Unicode server to be able to see nvarchar (and other Unicode) fields and vice
versa. One workaround to create a db view of the target form using the CAST
operator to present the nvarchar field as a varchar.

It looks like Remedy does not understand the nvarchar(255) data type. If I
change the data type to varchar(MAX) I can see the field in the view form.
Is this the same for the xml column data type or is there a workaround for this?

Thanks
Enslin

Subject: [EvB]-------Create View Form

Hi everyone

I need some help please.

Remedy Server version 7.1 Patch 006
MSSQL 2005

I have a table with some nvarchar(255) and a xml column. How do I create a view
in REMEDY that enables me to see all these fields?
When I create the view I only see one column and that is a INT which is used
for the Key field.

I am not 100% sure what data to supply for you to assist me on this, please let
me know.

Thanks
Enslin
