I am pulling asset records from a Remedy 5.5 system into a brand new Remedy 7.6 system. I have imported most of the records and poked them into their correct classes but now I need to build the asset-to-asset relationships and I have hit a wall. All component records in the 5.5 system were converted (prior to my hire date) from to asset records, that means that all the SHR:Association records are MAINASSET to MAINASSET relationships. Now, how do I import these records into the correct BMC_Dependency relationships? I can't decipher which are HostedComponents etc so I was just thinking of Dependency. Has anyone done anything similar? I guess that it would be the same process to import relationships from any pre-CMDB version into a CMDB version of Remedy so any help would be greatly appreciated.
