Hi Listers,

We are having issues getting arserver to successfully start after having
patched the Oracle Client to level 10.2.0.4. Has anybody experienced any
issues in this area? The error message we are seeing on startup are:

Thu Mar 11 12:38:41 2010 390600 : Missing data in the SQL database
(propList format --
34\20\4\7\enduser\162\2\7\164\2\0\165\2\0\166\4\8\0xe5dfd4\167\9\2\296426\ff

Thu Mar 11 12:39:04 2010 390600 : Form does not exist on server (ARERR 303)

Thu Mar 11 12:39:04 2010 390600 : Error in definition for an active link
(ARERR 399).

Then a long list of subsequent errors from workflow that can't see the
"SRS:ServiceRequestConsole" form.

After startup, logging into the User Tool produces an error (Can't generate
Application List) on the Home Page, and no navigation links are present.
Other forms can be accessed, as long as the form does not contain an
Application List field.

Environment: (Test)

Hardware: sun4v

OS: SunOS 5.10

Server Language: en_US;UTF-8

Database Version: Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit

ARS: 7.1.00 Patch 007

ITSM: 7.0.3 Patch 008

Notes:

. We have three (3) app servers which point to the db instance
mentioned above.

. Two (2) of the servers (running the 10.2.0 client) work fine and
start without errors.

. Only the server running the 10.2.0.4 client has the issues.

o If we roll back the client on this server to 10.2.0, it also works fine.

. Our requirements call for the oracle client to be at 10.2.0.4 so
we need to resolve this issue, then apply to the other two servers.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
