Unflippingbelievable, I thought I had it set to No!

Thanks Peter

In the identification activity set the ‘Auto Identify’ flag to ‘No’

This will prevent the CI’s being given a recon id if they don’t match a
production CI.

CI’s with no recon id (the default of ‘0’) will not take place in merge
activities.

Dear all,

I have a Recon Job which identifies some CIs and then merge them to an already
reconciled Production dataset (from a different discovery source). The problem
arises when the production dataset does not have a CI to merge with (using
SerialNumber) and throws an error "ARERR[120076] No value supplied for a
required attribute:  Name"

Is there a way to tell the recon engine to ignore these CI if no corresponding
record is found in the production set. Do you specify this in a merge
qualification? "Defer if NULL"? Identification activity?

Kind Regards

frex
