Customizing the AR System Mid-Tier v7.X.

How can one re-direct users to a new login screen through the Mid-Tier? How
can I change the image of BMC Software to my own company logo? What can I
manipulate within the Mid-Tier that will only effect the users coming
through the browser and not the BMC Remedy User Client tool? This tutorial
will provide a review of customizations that can be performed within the
Mid-Tier that will affect how the users view and operate within the AR
System.

intermediate session will provide an overview of the primary elements
required to support disaster recovery and availability within the AR system.
The discussion will cover architecture and cost considerations, tool choices
and best practices. Examples of real world implementations of DR solutions
will also be presented.


How to Set Up Metrics within Remedy?

In this tutorial you will learn about metrics with Remedy. You will
understand the benefits of metrics and how to use them to manage
expectations for both individuals and groups. You will learn which metrics
are available along with options for presenting them to both agents and
managers.  You will learn how to use Flashboards to present an overview
Incident activity to management.


Integrating AR System with Plug-Ins.

Have you wondered how to import data or monitor a program and have it
generate a ticket or tickets within the AR System? Are you a programmer in
need of understanding how to build a Remedy Plug-In that will work? This
tutorial will take you through the process of gathering up the required
information; building an AR System API Plug-in; and ensuring that the
plug-in works accordingly.


Integrating with Web Services.

This tutorial will cover the following areas: Introduction to Web services;
Black box technology; Published interfaces; WSDL and SOAP; How webservices
is implemented in the AR System to include an overview of the webservice
components, plugins, mid-tier requirements, and installation/configuration
requirements. We will walk through a demonstration of web services, showing
the Publishing methods for a form and consuming of an external webservice
offering. Finally, we will complete the tutorial with an overview of the
troubleshooting logs, SSL, attachments, large text field concerns, Axis 1.1
and 1.2 version incompatibility, timeout issues, error handling encounters,
and more.

This presentation is an introduction to the best practices methodologies for
gathering requirements for any given project. You will be shown how to
analyze these requirements with full consideration for implementation in an
AR System application environment - whether it is to make a customization to
an existing application or to build a new application process.


Structured Remedy Development - Best Practices, Methodology and Tools.

development projects based on AR System. The following topics will be
covered: Formal / informal methodology; SCRUM/Agile methods, RADD and RUP;
The typical project model for a Remedy based development project; Different

Active Links are the workhorses of the Action Request system. This
introductory session will present the fundamental concepts related to
working with this critical ARS structure. It will address the function of
Active Links and how they support off the shelf and custom workflow.
Examples will be provided of the various uses of Active Links and how they
support development and customization.

Filters are the unsung heroes of the Action Request system. This
introductory session will present the foundational elements related to
working with this core ARS structure. It will address the function of
Filters and how they support off the shelf and custom workflow. Examples
will be provided of the various and creative uses of Filters to support
development and customization.


Working with AR System Guides.

This tutorial will demonstrate the different types of Active Link and Filter
Guides one can utilize within any given AR System Application. This includes
running calculations using the column relational operators; making changes
to table rows using ROWSELECTED and ROWCHANGED operations; utilizing table
loop operations; and more.


Working with BMC Atrium CMDB v7.6.

This tutorial session will review the BMC Atrium CMDB Console and its new
features. This includes a review and customization method of the two Common
Data Models (Class and Relationships); configuration items and how to
utilize them; Service Catalogs; Normalization Engine; Product Catalogs;
Reconciliation Engine processing; Impact Analyzer; and more.
