Were there multi byte characters in the text that was being pushed to that field? That could cause it to burst the length defined because although it may appear that the character count is less than the field defined, it is not..
8152 error happens when the input length defined is less than the input length for that column in that record.. I don't use MS-SQL but I would guess that the SQL Admin interface could indicated free tablespace for the tables. In Oracle the DBA will need to extend the tablespace. Also, Oracle tables can be set to autoextend.
