If it is reporting an error with the column missing in the DB then somewhere in the system it thinks it is a real database field. I had the same problem a while back (also because of copying a field). The only way to correct it was to manually add the column to the table (with an alter table add column statement). I could then delete the field thru the admin tool and recreate it again (without doing the copy) to be safe that it was correct everywhere (until the column was in the T table I could not even delete the field thru the admin tool).
