Hello everyone, I thought I would let everyone know what the problem was. I troubleshooted the Roles issue again, and after moving backwards through the Role to the Group and then the User record, I found that the Role I was having trouble with was mapped to a Group that was set to View instead of Change. While I'm plenty embarrassed to find what should have been an easy solution, it's good news that our server doesn't have any major issues and a re-install is not needed. Anyway, thanks to everyone for the help!
