Any chance you have debug turned on? You can tell by looking at the startup script emaild.sh
Look in the $JAVA_HOME/jre/lib for a logging.properties file. In there it will tell you what level you are at. If it says "DEBUG" then that may be why the file is growing so big. In addition each error is stored in the "AR System Email Error Logs" form. So I would imagine that table is quite large and you may want to consider deleting that data.
