Have you inspected your logs around that error to see what that thread was doing just before and after the error? That may give you further clues..

This error is for the remedy alert. Now, if related - I did check the
armonitor.conf and the setting is correct.. I further checked the
Emailenigine daemon properties file, email.sh..

Yes, that was the first place I checked.  Now I'm going thru all workflow
that has notifier, to see if it has the old server embeded. Already did
users configuration  preferences, etc.

I'm at a lost. I even turn on all the other logs to see if any other
errors
are occurring to correlate, nothing yet.

Any other thoughts. "
