Good monring, afternoon, evening:

I may be losing my mind here, but I have always been under the impression that
if you need to increase the private thread values, you do not need to restart
the AR Server, but if you need to decrease the value it does require a restart.
We're working on increasing one of our private threads max value from Min 2
Max 2 to Min 2 Max 4. When working through BMC support on a performance issue
where they are recommending this, they are stating that the AR Server needs to
be restarted: "anytime you add a thread or change any of the current thread
settings, a server restart is required." When asked if they had any knowledge
articles, whitepapers, or documentation stating this the tech responded that
they didn't, so based on past experience I don't really trust them.

So the real question I'm asking is: does a restart of the AR Server need to
done to increase the private thread max value or will the AR Server see that
the value has increased and dynamically allocate additional threads if its
needed?

Thanks for your feedback and help!
