Hi,

We have experience in using "Silk Performer" for performance testing of AR
systems.
Silk Perfomer allows users to simulate web-based users using AR server
mid-tier. This way, you not only are testing the server performance, but
correctly measure user response time under various loads.

The mid-tier is driven through a higher level of abstraction than http,
called the backchannel APIs. Using this technology allows one to create
load testing scripts that are more concise than those that replay pure HTTP.

Warm Regards,

Yogesh

All,

Anyone know of a good tool that can be used to obtain objective performance
data on a bespoke Remedy system? Does anyone have any experience of Column
IT's Sentinel tool?

Any assistance/leads would be appreciated.

Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

WARNING: Advertisement!!!

RRR|Log is a very good tool to measure performance from a server standpoint.

It leverages the AR System API/ESCL/SQL/FLTR-logs to do the measurment.

It is perfect for doing benchmarks that you can compare your system with
at a later time.
