Job Description The Sr. Remedy Test Administrator role will be responsible for the administration and quality testing of the BMC Remedy IT Service Management application environments, IT Infrastructure and ITIL-based tools. The test administrator as act as a subject matter expert for IT Service Management application functionality responsible for testing of application functionality, usability and foundation data integrity. Duties will include application administration and testing of the BMC Remedy test, training and production environments. The test administrator must be a competent communicator that will frequently interact with customers, functional peers and work closely with team members along with adjusting work efforts as tasks priorities change. Requirements • Support all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC). • Perform BMC Remedy administrator tasks for ITSM applications and foundation data. • Perform quality assurance testing for change and release management process. • Support and perform train-the-trainer activities and support user acceptance testing. • Maintain data and configure for BMC Remedy test and training environments. • When needed, support testing for vendor patches and break/fix solutions. Minimum Qualifications 1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and 2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications. Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years). Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience. 3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or 4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience Department Preferences • Good communications skills, coachable and works well with team members. • Good skills in estimating administration and testing efforts. Education B.S. degree or equivalency in related field; ITIL Foundation Certification; Formal Remedy training (Foundation, Admin…) Experience/Skills The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3+ years experience with BMC Remedy AR System and IT Service Management (release 7.x or higher).
