The SSL configuration is typically done at the endpoint that the user agent connects to. This could be the load balancer, if you use one; it could be the web server, if you use one; or it could be the J2EE container. There have been a number of conversations around how to do something with the web tier, but very little information about the software/hardware stack in use. The implementation specifics depend on what you are using. Best suggestion for everyone on the list who wants to know how to do X with the web configuration (context path, ssl, etc.) is to outline your software/hardware stack as it pertains to the web tier.
