Good morning everyone. On a newly installed ARS 8 system, using an IE 9 browser, I can't log in to the AR Server Home page at http://servername:8080/arsys/home The browser displays ARERR 623, Authentication failed. But I can log into the Admin tool, no problem. The user is Demo, with the default password. The mid tier is working, there's no problem getting into the Config tool.
The AR Server Settings page of the Config Tool shows that I have an AR Server Admin Password. Should I just change this to the default "Demo" password? BMC support suggests that the Mid-Tier application password doesn't match the password set in the AR System Application password. The pre-version 8 solution is to ensure that the AR Server Admin Password in the Cong Tool matches the Mid-Tier Administrator Password in the Server Information page in the User Tool, but I can't get there because there's no user tool any more. Does anyone think we're on the right track here? Would it help to use the command line tool that lets you create an ar server user?
