Theoretically it'll create a cache based on statistics from real users use (for 2 days in the doc wiki, at a time BMC support told us 1 week).
Once it's done (two days analysis), you disable preload and it should use the statistics file to load the "most used objects" from the cache on hard disk into memory when you start Tomcat.
So like a more intelligent "prefetch.xml" function somehow.
