What are the permissions on that column? I believe if you do not set the correct permissions no data will show.

What's the data length of the field? If you add a field greater than 254 characters to a table, it doesn't display any data.

Are you sure that you are looking at the same record in table as in backhand form ?
for instance include some unique ID field(Request ID) in table as column & then compare your table data with form data.
