Hi, Abdul: I’m using 8.1 and yes, there is a Data Management Tool. It’s just launched as a separate app found on the Application List.
· First, to display the option for the Data Management Tool in your application list, you will need either DMT User or DMT Admin permission added to your account. · There are three options off of Data Management Tool: Job Console, Spreadsheet Management and Data Wizard. · The load workbook templates for Foundation type data will be found under Data Management -->Spreadsheet Management · You can still make changes to a Support Group Name, Site Information, etc. using the Data Management --> Data Wizard. · The meat and potatoes of the tool is found under Data Management --> Job Console. · The Data Management Job Console which is part of ITSM uses the Jobs and Transformations found in the– BMC Atrium Integrator Spoon (Pentaho Data Integration once launched) · This is the place where you’ll create and manage Jobs to load data. · You have the choice of using BMC Templates or custom templates. · There are BMC templates to load People, Product, Operational Categories, etc. You will use the workbooks found under Spreadsheet management, once filled out to load the data. Give yourself a quiet day to study and then through trial (and many errors), you will learn a lot about this tool. Note: You can still use the BMC Atrium Integrator Spoon to create your own Jobs and Transformation or a variation of the OOB ones. Gosh, there’s so much more I want to share, but it’s getting way too long.
