Ok fellow Geeks. The WWRUG Board is soliciting feedback to see if you
would be interested in competing an app or "widget" contest to develope
something that you would like to share with your fellow WWRUG13 attendees.
There may be prizes (based upon the Sponsor's involvement - Free license of
Sponsor's product?, iPad, etc.?), or you may just be recognized for your
application development skills. We are targeting Monday prior to the
conference as the 24 hour period within which you are to build your
application. Attendees would vote on Tues/Wed, with the winners announced
by the Sponsors on Thursday. For the Sponsors who put up their "cloud"
environment, you will get the chance to show off your solution for all
those entering or voting on the apps. Environments will have to meet basic
specs, may or may not have ITSM or other applications installaed, but MUST
have a supported version of the AR System in place that the midtier can use
to connect for voting, Dev Studio for developing, and multiple WWRUG13
Sponsors can form Teams to host multiple environments. If you have a
commercial solution and are a WWRUG13 Sponsor, you can team up with
multiple "cloud" providers as you see fit.

If you are interested in participating in such a contest as a developer,
please reply to the list and tell us what type of app or widget you would
build. If you would be interested in voting tell us that as well as what
type of app or widget you would like to see developed. If you are a
WWRUG13 Sponsor that is interested in providing an environment for use by
the contest please contact me and copy Michelle Nessier
(michele.ness...@amotive.com). I have provided her the specs for the
environments to meet minimum requirements.

As a WWRUG13 Conference attendee, you will be able to download any or all
of the applications developed as part of the contest by 1) being a
registered attendee, 2) voting in the contest.

We are NOT looking for the next ITSM replacement, and as a matter of fact
one Board member suggested that the app not be IT related. If you choose
an environment that has a mobile integration, you can even mobilize your
app!

Allright, let the responses fly...

Phil Bautista
