The ARS application has no control over MIME types Depending on if you are using the User Tool or Mid-Tier attachments are opened as follows.
User Tool Attachments are opened the same as if a user has double clicked on the attachment file in Windows Explorer. The application used to open the attachment is determined by the file type settings in Explorer. Mid-Tier (Web Browser) Attachments are opened based on the browser settings.
